In-Office Work Serves Our Clients

Our work is better for our clients because we’re in-office.

As a creative branding agency, it’s no secret that our work environment is highly creative and highly collaborative. The remote work culture is at an all time high, yet our best work happens together – in the office. We, along with experts at Harvard Business Review, are confident that being in-office vs. remote results in better work for our clients.

Let’s talk about why.

Our people are our number one brand asset. Generating and sharing knowledge is where innovation is born. At Hoot, we believe that everyone is creative. And creativity requires collaboration. Throughout every stage of a client project, our team works together. The way we approach each client request with fresh energy and new ideas shows that we’re better together.

"If fostering creativity is paramount to your business, your workplace needs to bring knowledge together by bringing people together, ideally in person."

- Maria Roche & Andy Wu, Harvard Business Review.

It is essential that we are constantly sharing project knowledge which we’ve come to recognize results in the best work for our clients. Being together in the office allows us to discuss, debate, and often challenge each other on the best approach for a successful outcome. In-person meetings mean we're sitting next to each other, face-to-face, reading non-verbal cues, and brainstorming with less friction. Despite the best technology, there is nothing better than an old-fashioned across-the-table discussion.

Being together means we work more effectively, resulting in quicker timelines without sacrificing quality in the work. Any resistance between departments is decreased with more immediate feedback, and our teams are stronger because we spend more time together.

Ideas are often born from serendipitous interactions. Bringing people together creates situations where they can connect organically. A side conversation with a coworker, discussing the latest branding trend over lunch, or passing a computer screen can spark a new idea that wouldn't otherwise exist.

The physical space of the office, in regards to design and architecture, is crucial. That's a big reason why we upgraded our office last year. Our office is built to foster creativity with a mix of focused work spaces, collaborative meeting rooms, and hang out spots for happy hours, which at times lead to our biggest client ideas.

If you know Hoot, you know we respect working in your pajamas and getting "life things" done during work hours, which is why since our existence we've had Work From Home Tuesday’s embedded in our culture.

It's clear that being together results in more innovation, but it also gives us the opportunity to act out our Employer Brand more effectively. At Hoot we pour into our employees. Developing their professional skills, their creative skills, and holding each other accountable for personal development. Being together means we can check-in with each other more intentionally, ensuring we're on track for client projects, but also our larger agency goals and purpose.

If you're looking for an agency to build your brand, ask them if their team is in-person. We are, and we can guarantee our work is done better, together in the office.
