Casting Call
Hoot Design Company is working with The University of Missouri’s Center for Excellence in Child Well-Being to create professional training videos. Submission deadline is May 8, 2024.
We are seeking talented actors/narrators to be the face of a series of educational videos produced by the Center for Excellence at the University of Missouri. The videos cover important topics such as understanding trauma, maternal mental health, and the significance of brain development.
The selected narrators will be responsible for delivering the script provided via teleprompter in a clear, engaging, and informative manner. This project will include “a piece to camera” video capture of the casted narrator reading from a teleprompter behind a green screen. The narrator's voice will also be captured and embedded over animated video.
Role Descriptions
“Piece to Camera” Actors/Narrators
Talent Requirements:
Strong and clear speaking voice.
Ability to convey complex information in an accessible and engaging manner via voice and tone.
Willingness to prepare prior to filming so the script is familiar, but not memorized.
Experience with narrating educational or informational content preferred.
Comfortable reading from a teleprompter.
Availability for recording sessions at specified dates and times.
Payment: This is a paid position. Payment details will be discussed with the selected candidate.

Availability for in-person audition and filming in Columbia, MO. Casting auditions done virtually on as-needed basis.
