Agency Goals: 2021

Marathon participants meeting goals cutout in "21" shape.

If 2020 taught us anything, it’s that things don’t always go to plan. But it also showed us that our agency will rise to the occasion. So instead of eliminating annual goals because we don’t know what the year will bring, we opted to set our sights high.

1. Increase sales by 20%

We’ve grown year over year, but in 2021, we have a very specific sales goal in mind. To reach that number would mean the ability to expand our team, which is something we hope to do this calendar year. After all, creating jobs and a positive work environment are two of the things we care about most — besides branding, of course.

2. No more RFPs

How are we going to increase sales without responding to requests for proposals? By focusing on interpersonal relationships. Last year, we spent more than 150 hours on RFPs, time that would have been better spent serving our existing clients or building personal connections with potential new ones. To get a comprehensive understanding of why we are putting an end to RFPs, listen to our podcast on the topic

3. Double our podcast downloads

This year we are becoming more intentional about Profresh, our award-winning business culture podcast. We are taking the time to make each episode better than the one before, and we’re collaborating more with other creators. We look forward to welcoming many more guests onto Profresh, and we are working to get Kristen featured on other podcasts, like The Offbeat Life, as well. If you are interested in interviewing Kristen, our owner and founder, on your podcast or blog, please reach out

4. Onboard two new retainer clients

Our clients fall into two categories: retainer and project. We love our project-based clients, but the relationships we have with our retainers are invaluable. Working with a client month after month allows us to better serve that account because we are able to ingrain ourselves in their business and become a part of their team. Retainers are the ideal agency-client relationship, and we aim to welcome two more to our roster by December.

5. Level up our workspace

We spent most of 2020 refreshing our brand, which now reflects the work we do and the direction we are heading in. However, our workplace has been neglected, and it still feels reminiscent of Hoot Design Co., our old identity. We want to level up our office so that it reflects the rest of our brand. Because the truth is, our workplace is a part of our brand.

These goals are within reach, but it will take hard work and determination to achieve them all. If there’s one thing we learned last year, it’s that our team can make it work. And we will.
