Brand Manager

The Brand Manager is a part of the Account Service team at Hoot Design Company. This role works closely with the Account Director on account organization, client relations, and overall brand strategy. Hoot Design Company needs a Brand Manager with strong verbal and written communication skills, an aptitude for strategic thinking, a sense of entrepreneurship, strong presentation skills, personal organization, and strong interpersonal skills.

The Brand Manager at Hoot Design Company is the main connection between our clients and the agency. This role includes leading the client relationship, gaining a deep understanding of brand and strategy on assigned accounts, and executing project details with a clear understanding of timeline management. Outside of managing the day-to-day operations of accounts, the Brand Manager stays relevant on all client and industry trends.

The right candidate is energized by complex communication challenges because a necessary part of this role is to develop and maintain strong relationships between the client and agency through strategy, organization, and natural interpersonal skills. Along with a service-oriented mindset, this person is knowledgeable in both the client’s business and the agency’s business, expanding their skill set constantly. 

They have a clear understanding of the impact of brand and are eager to learn more about the clients brand and industry. This person can make key decisions on behalf of the client and agency with efficiency and strong judgement. The creative team looks to the Brand Manager to provide valuable insight for projects based on research or client input. The Brand Manager will track all projects to ensure they have met any set performance metrics or business goals and will be able to communicate progress or recommendations to the necessary departments. 

This role is always on the lookout for potential client growth opportunities and passes them to the appropriate departments. They are the go-to for client information and ideas. They assert autonomy and confidence in the accounts they manage. They are motivated by a continued education in branding.

Application Requirements

 

Minimum three years of agency experience is preferred but not required.

Top Priorities

Day-to-Day

  • Maintains and grows client relationships. 

  • Manages day to day of client experience through the organization of all client touchpoints, meetings and visits. 

  • Educates clients on agency philosophy and processes and sets the tone of the partnership. 

  • Prepares and updates project briefs, status reports, retainer plans and other supporting materials with strategic input. 

  • Reviews, presents and sells agency ideas to clients clearly and timely with a strategic lens. 

  • Management of retainer clients & project clients as assigned, including understanding of clients hours investment and brand strategy planning. 

  • Manages client expectations to foster effectiveness and build credibility.

  • Informs agency of client opportunities, struggles, capacity and upcoming work. 

  • Partners with ops to forecast team workload and project influxes.

  • Partners with ops for project estimates and scope changes. 

  • Regularly communicates clients’ short and long-term goals with engaging questions and industry knowledge. 

  • Keeps apprised of clients’ brands (industry knowledge).

  • Completes client SWOT/PEST reports with support from the creative department.

  • Completes Creative Briefs with collaboration from the creative department. 

  • Serve as a liaison and advocate for both the agency and the client. 

  • Prepare and update project briefs, timelines, retainer plans, status reports and other supporting materials.

  • Communicate needs, as well as project changes and troubleshoot any issues with the internal team. 

  • Collaborate with the entire team to accomplish projects in a fast-paced environment that will frequently require adaptability and flexibility.

  • Review work with a strategic eye from the client’s perspective. 

  • Prepare and lead all client meetings and communication.

Account Director - assist in managing day-to-day operations of the Account Service team, as well as manage their own accounts and lead brand initiatives.

Clients - Managing client relationship and project details, with a clear understanding of timeline management.

Salary

 

$45,000 - $55,000 based on experience
